First of all, both holidays have religious activities while celebrating the holiday. There is also music and people dance in both holidays too. Both holidays also have special foods to eat. Last, there are large gatherings in both holidays.
Both stories have lots of differences too. First, a variety of special holiday foods are served for people to eat like noodles, fruits, sweet rice cakes, cakes with beans, and dumplings filled with pork and green beans in Tet. Second, people eat fried bread in a powwow. Third, people decorate their homes with spring blossoms, banners, and lights in Tet. Fourth, people wear beads feathers, or get painted in a powwow. A powwow may be held to honor of a good harvest, a new baby, or it may be just a celebration of life. Fifth, Tet is celebrated to signal the beginning of spring. Last, people sing religious songs and dance in Tet, but people sing and dance around a big drum in a powwow.
These are the similarities and differences of a powwow and Tet. If I could celebrate one of the holidays, I would choose a powwow because it lasts for a long time. There is also more singing and dancing in a powwow.
